Development of Porous Material by Pickering Emulsion Template Method for Efficient Adsorption of Bisphenol A

  • Preparation of porous polymer materials by Pickering emulsion template method has the advantages of simple preparation and adjustable pore size. The Pickering high internal phase emulsion was prepared by using attapulgite as stabilizing particle, surfactant co-stabilizing and rapeseed oil as oil phase. The porous polymer material was prepared by polymerization of Pickering emulsion. The prepared materials had abundant macropore and micropore structures and surface functional groups. The adsorption properties were investigated by evaluating the pH value, the initial concentration of adsorbent and the contact time between adsorbent and adsorbent solution. The results showed that the maximum adsorption capacity of the porous material for bisphenol A was 129.08 mg/g, the adsorption saturation reached within 25 min, and the adsorption rate was fast. Besides, the material has a good repeatability.
