Practice and Effectiveness of Upgrading and Transforming for Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectrometer

  • Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometer is commonly used for characterization and structural identification of organic compounds. The characteristic of NMR spectrometer is the stability of the magnet, but the gradual aging of hardware such as cabinets and workstations over time, leading to frequent failures. Moreover, with the continuous updating of instrument software and probe hardware, the original instrument has some problems such as uneven configuration and incomplete function. With the special funds from the Ministry of Education to improve the basic educational conditions and the strong support of various departments of the university, the Analysis Center of Tianjin University was successfully completed the upgrading and renovation of the NMR spectrometer, optimized the configuration, increased the functions of the NMR spectrometer, and improved the infrastructure. The practical results indicated that the upgrading of the instrument was greatly promoted the development and utilization of instrument functions, improved work efficiency, and further improved the level of open sharing.
