Study on Quality Standard of Dracocephalum tanguticum Maxim. in Qinghai Province

  • According to the Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China 2020, the biological characters and chemical components of Dracocephalum tanguticum Maxim. were studied systematically. The characters of the herbs were described in detail by thin-layer chromatography (TLC). The moisture, total ash, acid-insoluble ash and extract of Dracocephalum tanguticum Maxim. were determined. A high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for the determination of chlorogenic acid and linoside in Dracocephalum tanguticum Maxim. was established. The contents of chlorogenic acid and linoside in 11 batches of samples were determined. Based on the experimental data, the content of moisture was not greater than 9.96%, the content of total ash was not greater than 11.4%, the content of acid-insoluble ash was not greater than 1.62%, and the content of extract was not less than 21.6%. Based on dry samples, the contents of chlorogenic acid and linoside were not less than 1.47% and 0.98%, respectively.
