Abstract:
Solid-phase microextraction (SPME), as a new extraction technology, has gained widespread acceptance for the analyte matrix separation at trace level due to its high sensitivity, rapidity, simplicity and easiness to couple with other instruments. The core part of SPME technique is the SPME fiber. In this paper, the latest research development centred on the characteristics of SPME fiber, including the stability at high temperature and in organic solvents, service life, and selectivity is introduced, and their future development is predicted.
