Abstract:
Puerarin shows a sensitive derivative oxidation peak at +0.57 V by using the cyclic voltammogram in a buffer solution of 0.02 mol/L NH
4Cl-NH
3·H
2O(pH 8.0).The peak current is proportional to the concentration of Puerarin in the range of 1.046×10
-7~5.767×10
-5 mol/L with r =0.9989. The detection limit is 1.046×10
-7 mol/L. This method has been applied to determine Puerarin with satisfactory results. Its average recovery rate is 99.8% .The electrochemical behavior of the system has been studied at a glassy carbon electrode by cyclic voltammetry. The electrode oxidation process of Puerarin at the glassy carbon electrode is irreversible and adsorptive.
