Abstract:
The recent progress of methods of photometric determination of hexavalent chromium(Ⅵ) during 2006-2009 is reviewed. Nowadays, photometric methods for the determination of chromium(Ⅵ) mainly include spectrophotometry, catalytic kinetic spectrophotometry, spectrofluorimetry, and atomic absorption spectrometry. In recent years, the flow injection spectrophotometry and resonance light scattering method attract much intention. These methods have overcome the disadvantages of poor stability of reagents and bad selectivity of traditional methods and have advantages of high sensitivity, high selectivity, less consumption of reagent and fast analysis. With the improvement and innovation of analytical methods and the application of new technology, the photometric analysis of chromium (Ⅵ) will gradually develop in the direction of high sensitivity, high selectivity and automation.
