Abstract:
A new method for the determination of trace mercury by solid substrate room temperature phosphorescence quenching is established based on Pb(CMC)
2-THBF can emit intense and stable solid substrate room temperature phosphorescence (SS-RTP) on filter paper. The linear range of this method is 2.5~100.0 pg/mL of Hg
2+,with a detection limit (LD) of 3.2×10
-13 g/mL, and the regression equation of working curve is ΔIp=12.73+0.4699C
Hg2+ (pg/mL),r=0.9991. This method has been applied to the determination of trace mercury in hair and water samples with satisfactory results. The mechanism of SS-RTP emission is also discussed.
