Abstract:
A procedure for the determination of natural and synthetic estrogens(estril, estradiol, etynyl estradiol, and estrone) in environment water is described.Samples,up to 500 mL,were concentrated using solid-phase extraction little column.Analytes were derivatized with trifluoroacetic anhydride or N-methyl-N-(trimethylsilyl) trifloroacetamide and determinated by GC-FID or GC-MS.Derivatization conditions on the performance of the estrogens and way of injecting was studied. The recovery of estrogens spiked into clean groundwater using the little columns procedure was 86%~120% at the 0.5~2 μg/L level. The correlation coefficient for each compound ranged from 0.98%~0.99%.Detection limits in the 1~3 ng/L range have been achieved for most compounds, based on a 5 litre sample. Some of the estrogens were detected in environment samples.
