Abstract: A review with 32 references is focusing on determination of molecular weight (MW) of proteins, analysis for primary structure of proteins and peptides and identification of purification of proteins and peptides by liquid chromatography electrospray ionization mass spectrometry. Applications in peptide mass mapping, quantification and determination of positions of disulfide bridges of proteins and peptides, determination of positions of phosphate and applications in proteins, et al were discussed.
