Abstract:
A method for rapid detection of trace bromide and sulfate ions in potassium chloride by ion chromatography with suppressed conductivity has been established. The calibration curves of Br
− and SO
4 2− showed good linearity in the range of 0.05~10 mg/L (
r was 0.995 1, 0.996 2, respectively). The detection limits of Br
− and SO
4 2− were 0.029 mg/L and 0.020 mg/L, respectively. The recoveries of Br
− and SO
4 2− in potassium chloride ranged from 93.7% to 99.0%. The method is of a good linear range, easy operation and high sensitivity, can be used as the quality control method for the rapid detection of Br
− and SO
4 2− in potassium chloride.
