Abstract: The mission and orientation of the Testing and Inspection Agencies of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) is to provide support and service with high quality to China's scientific and technological development strategy, to provide testing and inspection service to the scientific research and engineering of institutions belonging to CAS, to provide high-tech testing and inspection service to society. The activities can serve as important compliment to the demand from the society for high technologies and emerging industries, also as technical support to the high technologies and emerging industries. CAS has 67 testing and inspection agencies, scattered in 21 provinces, cities and areas, covering a wide range including new materials, ecology and environment, chemical engineering, energy, aviation, aerospace, geology, oceanography, agriculture, forestry, husbandry, fishery, biological safety, etc.
