Abstract:
A rapid headspace-gas chromatography/mass(HP-GC/MS)spectrometric method was developed for the determination of methanol in essence and perfume using the salting-out effect. The experimental conditions were optimized. The linear range was from 0.8 ng/mL to 200 ng/mL (
r2=0.999 9,
n=6) with a detection limit of 0.25 ng/mL in 5 mol/L NaCl. The recovery ratio of the method was 96.75%~106.35%. The contents of methanol were 0.0~8.4 ng/mL in 10 samples by the developed method. The method is of high sensibility and selectivity and no sample pretreatment is needed.
