Abstract:
Intramolecular small molecular thiols play key roles in biological processes. Fluorescent probes have the advantages of high sensitivity, good selectivity and biocompatibility, real-time monitoring in situ, etc. As a consequence, it is of great biological and medical significance to design and synthesize probes for selective detection of thiols. The review summarizes the various design strategies of fluorescent probes for the selective detection of biothiols in recent years according to the reaction types between probes and thiols.
